Our Story

OurSharedPlace came out of managing a family vacation property. Like most co-owners, we ran it on scattered email threads, text messages, and phone calls. Booking conflicts, lost vendor contacts, and unclear maintenance instructions created friction that had nothing to do with the house itself.

I built OurSharedPlace to fix that. It is designed for families and groups who share a property and need one place to coordinate who is using it, keep the information everyone needs, and stop relitigating the same questions every season.

Who builds this

Steve Murch

Founder

Harvard MBA and Baker Scholar, with 25 years building consumer and business software. Steve built internet gaming at Microsoft, co-founded VacationSpot, built the dynamic packaging technology behind Expedia, and created BigOven, one of the first recipe apps in the App Store.

He is a co-owner of a shared family property himself, which is where every feature in OurSharedPlace started.
