How to Change the Colors for Member Bookings on Your Calendar
On a shared calendar, color is how you tell at a glance who has which week. Each member's bookings render in their own color, and the legend under the calendar names everyone alongside their swatch.
There are two ways to change a color, and which one you use depends on whose color it is.
Step-by-step
- 1
Find out which color is whose
Open your property's Calendar. Under the grid you'll see the Legend, which lists every member with the color their bookings appear in. Your own row is marked (you). The same list appears under the year view.
- 2
Change your own color
Click Change your color in the legend, or go to your profile and find Calendar Booking Color. Pick from the palette and save. This is your personal color and it follows you to every property you belong to — unless an admin has set a different color for one of them.
- The picker shows the colors your co-members already use.
- It warns you when your pick is too close to someone else's to tell apart on a calendar.
- 3
Change another member's color (admins only)
Open the property's Members page. Each member has a small color swatch next to their name. Click it, pick a color, and it saves right away. This is the usual fix when several members have never signed in to choose a color and all show in the same default blue.
- 4
Undo an admin override
In the same color picker, choose Use their own color. That clears the property override and the member's own profile color applies again. The button is greyed out when no override is set.
Tips
- A color an admin sets applies to one property only. It does not change what that person picked in their own account, and it does not affect other properties they belong to.
- Guests don't get a booking color — guest stays appear under the member who booked them.
- If two members are hard to tell apart on the calendar, change one of them rather than both. The palette is ordered so that colors far apart in the list are far apart on screen.
Frequently asked
Why do several of my members show in the same blue?
Blue is the default. New members are assigned a palette color at signup, but anyone added long ago, or who has never opened their profile, may still be on the default. An admin can set their colors from the Members page without waiting for them to sign in.
Can a member change the color an admin set for them?
Not directly. The property override wins over their personal choice. A member who wants it changed should ask an admin, who can pick a different color or clear the override with Use their own color.
Does changing a color affect past bookings?
Colors are applied when the calendar renders, so every booking by that member — past, present and future — changes at once. Nothing is stored per booking.
